WPC 2010 - Microsoft Worlwide Partner Conference

On July 11-15, 2010 in Washington, Microsoft organized it's Worldwide Partner Conference. The Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference is an annual gathering for the Microsoft partner community to learn about Microsoft’s roadmap for the upcoming year, network and build connections, share best practices, experience the latest product innovations and learn new skills and techniques.

This year was the biggest WPC ever, with over 14 000 registered attendees, approximately 130 countries, and over 500 sessions. This year, there were a record-breaking 3 000 award nominations for 67 award categories along with the newly added Microsoft Country Partner of the Year Award. 120 polish representatives came to Washingon – twice more than last year.

"It's worth to take part in WPC for at least two reasons: valuable sessions and business meetings." - said IT-Dev CEO Tomasz Szałaj, who represented the company at the Conference this year - "It's a great opportunity to both understand current Microsoft strategy better and tighten relationship with Microsoft and partner companies".

During the first three days, conference participants had the opportunity to hear Microsoft key executives share their vision and strategies for business direction, customer campaigns, upcoming launches and more.

Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conferenced was honored to welcome President Bill Clinton, founder of the William J. Clinton Foundation and 42nd President of the United States as the official WPC 2010 guest speaker. President Bill Clinton was presenting “Embracing our Common Humanity”.

Participants had the opportunity to gain first-hand experience with the newest technologies and solutions their customers are asking about. Next to the conference was also an exhibition with Microsoft partners solution, where you could saw the containers used for the construction of large data centers, in which "there is" CLOUD.

This year, Microsoft awarded IT-Dev as the Information Worker Solutions: Search Partner of the Year Finalist 2010 in global contest for innovative approach to utilizing search in IT-Dev Document Management Suite - a document management solution based on Sharepoint Server. In the competition participated over thirty thousands companies from around the world.

IT-Dev also became winner in regional contest for Microsoft partners working in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and received the title of Information Worker Solutions: Search Partner of the Year 2010 in CEE Region.
